
Biodonostia is the first biomedical research institute in the Basque country. It was created in 2008 as a joint effort between Basque Health Service (Osakidetza) and BIO Foundation, with the participation of University of the Basque Country (UPV), the research centers Inbiomed, VICOMtech, CIC Microgune, CIC Biomagune and CIC Nanogune, as well as Subdirección de Salud Pública (Osatek) and INGEMA Foundation. Other participants include Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa and Miramón Technology Park. This unique composition and the leadership of Donostia Hospital provide an innovative model for the good of the patient.
Inbiomed is a member of the board and head of he Regenerative Medicine Department.
